AUTOMOTIVE MOBILE SERVICE COORDINATOR

THE POSITION: The Mobile Service Coordinator is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional services to customers.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 years or more of dealer experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and preparing daily and weekly work orders for the Mobile Service Technicians
  • Coordinating with the Parts Department to ensure all necessary parts are pulled the day before scheduled appointments
  • Building rapport and maintaining relationships with local businesses through in-person visits and follow-ups
  • Developing strategies to promote and enhance the Mobile Service experience
  • Monitoring the condition of the Mobile Service unit and coordinating routine maintenance, detailing, and parts inventory reviews
  • Communicating with the Mobile Service team regarding scheduling, field issues, training, and equipment needs
  • Utilizing various Ford programs (GCCT, PTS, TAC, etc.) in daily operations
  • Ensuring all work orders are closed promptly and include proper documentation
  • Staying up to date on changes to regulations and communicating relevant updates to the team
  • Upholding all safety and compliance standards
  • Scheduling customer, fleet, and partner lot appointments along optimized routes
  • Cold calling local businesses, customers, and dealerships to generate new business opportunities
  • Keeping customer profiles updated in GCCT / CRC Portal to ensure post-repair surveys are delivered
  • Reviewing Connected Vehicle Data and FordPass / Lincoln Access Rewards to identify and upsell recommended maintenance before appointments
  • Actively working to meet or exceed management-directed goals and objectives related to performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
  • Assisting with urgent part deliveries to the Mobile Service team
  • Supporting vehicle pick-up and delivery for customer-owned vehicles
  • Participating in cross-training across various roles to ensure adequate staff coverage

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly required to stand, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently is required to walk and sit.
  • Is potentially exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
